What is "Standard-Range" version? NORA has 2 versions: Standard-range and Long-range. The Standard-range version can cover 1 or at most 2 neighbor rooms, while the Long-range version can cover the whole house in most cases. The hardware are different inside. The Standard-range version (this listing) has less range but more economical. The range can cover 1 or at most 2 neighbor rooms. It's suitable for babies sharing room with parents. If you plan to let the baby sleep in a separate room in the foreseeable future, the Long-range version is recommended. The Long-range version (not this listing) is our flagship product. Skin Temperature The NORA sensor measures the foot temperature, which is always lower than the body's core temperature. It's an essential indicator that the baby is feeling too warm or chills, so you know to put on more cloth or less. It's extremely useful when the baby is traveling with you or you live in a seasonal area. Get a notification when it's out of 86 to 98 degrees F. Skin temperature is not critical alert. It doesn't override 'Do-not-disturb'. Sleep Position Newborn infants should always sleep on their backs. The smart on-stomach alert can alarm when the baby is in deep sleep and suddenly changes its sleep position to on-stomach. The alert requires the baby is in deep sleep (quality over 70%) to avoid false alarms. The sleep position alert can override smartphone settings like the do-not-disturb. You can turn off this alert after the baby has mastered roll over skills. To trigger 'on-stomach' alert, it requires the baby was in deep sleep and suddenly was on-stomach. It's not that every time the sensor is flipped it will alert. This is for minimizing the false alarms. Each alert has an independent switch, so it fits in your scenario perfectly. Not a medical device. Ultra Soft and Breathable Fabrics. The sock uses a special type of fabric called 'Hollow Cotton'. The material is made of two layers of soft cotton with a 1mm air cushion gap in between. It provides ultra-soft feelings yet has a nice cooling and breathable effect.
